Roses and woman?

Woman and roses are often mentioned together, sometimes even in the same sentence.

Why?
What is it that makes roses so common, but yet so unique and special?

I guess in some ways roses are like woman;
- Beautiful
- Different colors
- And thorns – we sting!

But isn’t that also a part of the reason for “why” roses has become so known and popular. Which other mass-produced, “famous” flower is both pretty, and has thorns??

Media tells us a lot of different and extremely confusing stuff about how women should be, behave and look like:
- Sexy
- Famous
- Independent
- Good cook
- Loves cleaning
- Carrier-woman
- House-wife
- Smart
- Blonde (contradiction? ...).

But try to face it! Even though we get “fed” with so many different opinions on how and what the “perfect woman” should be like: Without the thorns it wouldn’t be the same thing!!!

I`m not saying that we (as women) were born perfect!! What I´m saying is that without the flaws (the thorns), the rose would just have become another flower... Among thousands of others!!!

- It´s not!
