FREAK = 10 ÅR!!!

Vår nye ungdomsleder (Or new youthleader) - Anne Randi

I kveld var det ikke nok en vanlig Freak-kveld, men en avslutnings- og velkomst-fest!! Mest avslutning kanskje - og en del mimring! Men som vår nye ungdomsleder (-pastor) sa i sin lille appel: "Det er viktig at våre erfaringer av Gud - både positive og negative - ikke hindrer oss ifra å høre Gud og følge Han der vi er nå! Positive minner kan gi en slags nostalgisk "feel", og vi lengter hele tida etter "slik det var før."
Hun sa også at det var viktig å ikke fokusere på målet som målet, men heller ha veien som målet, og hvis det var den som var målet ville vi ikke ha noen grunn til å sette det Gud ber oss om å gjøre til side, fordi det da er det i seg selv som er målet!!

Tonight was not another usual Freak-night, but a graduation- and welcome-party; all in one!! Maybe mostly a “good-bye”-night, pluss a lot of looking back and remembering “the old days”, but as our new youthleader pointed out in her small “appeal” in the end: “It’s important at our experiences of God – either they’re positive or negative – don’t hinder (stop) us from hearing or following God at the point where we are now! Positive memories can and might give us kind of a “nostalgic feel” and make us long for “how it used to be.”
She also said that it is important to not focus on the goal as “the goal”, but rather have the journey as “the goal”. Because if that’s what’s “the goal”, we won’t have a reason to put what God tell us to do aside, because it’s what He says that is “the (our) goal (target, focus)”!!

Ingen "ordentlig" Freak-feiring uten først å måtte lage og deretter framføre diverse (svette) selvlagde sanger...
(No "real" Freak-celebration without first having to make and than afterwards preform some (sweat) "homemade" songs...)


Noen ser da ut til å ha det temmelig gøy!! ;)

Latest news - GoFest

During worship, a guy painted different things on a "table" covered with sand, which were shown on some big-screens. The things that were "drawn" referred in someway to what the lyrics. It was truly amazing!! :)
