Your Daddy Loves You

I was "googling" pictures under "father and daughter" when I found this!! I like looking at pictures that has been done in a beautiful way, and especially if they also "tell a story"! What got be with this picture were the look in the eyes of the dad: Love and pride! "I am proud of you!" "I love you the way you are!!" For those of us who grow up in "Christian surroundings" hear that probably quite often: "God loves you!" "He created you!" "You are precious to Him!" But so many times words stop when the voice that uttered them ends, and in your mind they grow silent! Because what we see, feel and the feed-back we so commonly get is that we are not perfect! There is always something to work at!! If you are not good at math, you get extra home-work to improve your knowledge! If you are not good in gymnastics, the teacher might let you run extra laps to "shapen up", or instead he/ she just gives up on you!

And we somehow find ourselves longing for Gods acceptance, affirmation and love. "Doesn´t the Word of God say He loves us endlessly?" We see all the faults, and every bit of us we don´t like we focus the most on, in the end being convinced "How can ANYONE love somebody like me?"

I´m speaking very much to myself here! Maybe mostly, since I don´t really know who else reads this. We seek something we already have!! If we could try to chose to believe that, the Enemy would loose one of his "grips" on us!! If we would realize that it´s essentially not about us seeing ourselves as "a mistake", or feeling that we constantly do something wrong! And we therefore walk away or somewhat hide because we´re shameful!

I don´t want to believe in words, simply because words without actions is not anything at all!!! I don´t know if I personally can believe that "God loves me" just because some words say that He does! But I choose to believe that God loves me because of the times of confirmation that I´ve experienced and that still occur. And because I believe that He wouldn´t lie!!!
