Ethiopia!

I have now had my first day here in Ethiopia, and it's been really amazing to be here!!! I've been sleeping a lot today, because I've had a huge lack of sleep because of all that has been happening the last couple of days. I got to know that I was going to Ethiopia on Thursday night, so I guess you can say I've been stressing quite a lot! ;)Before I could go I had to: Pack my things back home, get a yellow-fever shot, buy a back-pack that was big enough, buy some loose & shoulder-covering t-shirts, pack out of my room in the base(!), go back to Hamar to finish up some things there, and than be at Gardemoen (ariport, Oslo) at 06.00. Monday morning!!! ...

Besides a bit stress and a lack of sleep, I have really enjoyed more or less everything here!! :) The people here are just so amazing and friendly!! The temperature is lovely! And the food is - exciting!!... ;)

If you are curious, I am here together with Janne, for 2 weeks!! It's a required "seeing-another-culture" -thing!


We get to use a Internett on a Internett-cafe close, and the connection is a bit "so and so".

Footprints

One night a man had a dream

He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of Footprints in the sand;
one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the Footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of Footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest
and saddest times of his life.
This really bothered him, and he questioned the Lord about it;
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed
that during the most troublesome times in my life
there is only one set of Footprints.
I don't understand why,
when I needed you most,
you would leave me."
The Lord replied:
"My son, My precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you have seen only one set of Footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

Regler: Hver spiller starter med å skrive 6 rare ting om seg selv, eller rett og slett noe ingen andre vet. Bloggere som blir "tatt" må skrive 6 ting om seg selv i sin egen blogg, i tillegg til å angi reglene for spillet. Til slutt velger spilleren 6 nye bloggere som "har den", og lister navnene deres. 1. Jeg virkelig digger å diskutere, prate om ulike ting, ting som interreserer. Eller bare prate! ;)
2. Jeg har frivillig gått inn på en nudist-avdeling i et tysk badesenter (storebroren sa ikke hva det var, bare at hvis jeg gikk inn ville jeg være "veldig kul" og at det ikke var noe farlig... ... typisk storebrødre!! ;).)
3. Jeg har stjelt (og er ikke stolt av det) - fra 7Eleven
4. Jeg digger å kjøre (dvs. sitte på) i buss/bil/tog, sammen med venner!!
5. Mitt høyeste ønske er å se storebroren min møte Jesus!
6. Mine tidligere kallenavn har bl.a. vært: "blondie", "bibel-freak", "muldvarp", "malingspannet" og "skolelys"...

Rules: Every player have to start with wirting 6 strange things about themselves, or just something that others don't know about them. The bloggers who are "ticked" have to write 6 things about themselves in their own blogg, in addition to listing up the rules of the game. In the end the player chooses 6 new people that "has it", and lists up their names. After that is done, he or she writes a comment on each persons blogg, to let them know that they are "ticked", and that they have to read that persons blogg for more information.

1. I really like to discuss, talk about different things, things that interests me. Or just talk! ;)
2. I have walked into the nudist-section of a german swimming-center, willingly (my brother didn't say what it was, only that if I went in I would be "really cool" and that it was nothing dangerous... ... older brothers!! ;).)
3. I've stolen (and am not proud of it) - from 7Eleven.
4. I love to drive (be a passenger) in a bus/car/ train, together with friends!!
5. My highest wish is to see my older brother meet Jesus.
6. My former "nick-names" have, among other things, been: "blondie", "bible - freak", "mole", "paint-can" and "school-light" (nickname if you're considered to be really good in school).

Vi trenger virkelig å vise mer at vi setter pris på de menneskene vi har rundt oss, som bare ved å være til stede, betyr utrolig mye for hvordan vi har det!
