* I have started a different blog (anoaktree.wordpress.com) - because of wanting to try something new, and wanting to see if people actually would comment on it... (not thus far!) ;)
* I still live in Skien
* Been looking for a job since the end of January...
* Hope to go and study photography next year!! :D

My big brother turns 26!!!
This Friday, on the 31th of October, my brother is turning 26!!! Its a bit "freaky" to think about, especially since I can remember when he was 16. I alway admired him for being so daring and "adult", which never really faded, though he knew quite well how to use it for his own advantage at times. ;)
Ronny - GRATULERER MED DAGEN!!! :D I guess you probably won`t read this (or even know about it), but I would still like to "honor you": Thank you, for every memory and I everything that reminds me of you! Even remembering those times when you used to drive me so utterly mad, just because you found it funny - makes me smile now!! :D When you moved away to dads place, I really missed you, even if I knew why! I really wish we could have had more years of growing up together! I still miss you, a lot!! I dont want this to become a "sentimental thing"... Ronny, I love being your only sister! I hope you`ll have an amazing day! And I really (!) hope that we can get to spend some time together soon!!! :)

Some catching up...
When I finally realizes this, I wonder why I have a blog at all... But as there`s grace, I hope there might be a possibility for a "new chance"...
Since last time I`ve been on a week-long trip to Milan; working with YWAM and a few other organizations: Evangelizing, traveling by sub-way, hanging out in the most gorgeous park I`ve ever been to, having dinner regularly at 10 PM (!) and eating ice cream every day (in October!!). More pictures will (hopefully) come later... ;P (but I wont promise)
After we arrived back in Norway, which was both nice and yet somehow weird, we had another week of teaching. This time on: "The Gospel". The teacher we had is one of the leader of YWAM Norway (Geir Fagerbakke). The things he said brought for me more insight and revelations in what "covenant" actually means (in more normal terms). Ex: "Friend" is not a common "nick-name" that God gives or calls every person on the planet, but it`s a word used to describe one who is "His covenant-partner". :D
The week after that we went on a team-trip to Sandane (a city on the West-coast, where YWAM Skien has a team). Yan Nicholls were the teacher of the week, and our personal driver!;) Also two people, who work on an E-team in Harpenden (together with Yan) joined: Colin and Hayley. We got to hang out with the team. We did some evangelism during the day; walking around talking to people. We had teaching in a living-room (sweeet!), and just loads of fun!!! :D
We got back on Friday, after an 8 something hour ride (going up took 10 1/2 hour!!). All 3 of our "guests" were leaving quite early on Saturday. But instead of going to bed after a "cereal/toast - party" we had after a "prayer and ministry-time", we ended up doing the "Music Game"! :) It`s where 2 people have to sit on a chair, facing each other but with their heads down. They have to come up with a song, and than on the count of 3 - look into the other persons eyes and sing!!! It is not allowed to look away, touch the other person, start laughing, stand up of the chair or stop singing! The one who "looses controll" first has lost! Hence; the picture:

Hills gives new perspectives
During my DTS I got a card which said: "It`s during hard times (hills) that you reach new things!" ("Det er i motbakke det går oppover"). I have been pundering and wondering a bit about that lately.
I have had a conflict lately with a person whom I really admire, respect and like hanging out with! The dilemma has not been that person, but rather our differences in ways of communicating and dealing with misunderstandings. I am a verbal person, sometimes maybe close to what can be considered healthy or good for you (!), but than on the other hand not always being able to deal with it right then and there has been incredibly frustrating. I dont know how that person will react regards to me writing about "that" here, but I hope that if that persons finds out it will be "ok" because this is really not meant as anything else than a "thought-process on diffrences between two people."
The thing is not to treat people like as if "they are just like yourself", but rather try to find out how they like to communicate and what will work best for them. It`s been hard! When I see something that`s not as it usually is, I want to talk and "fix it" as soon as possible!! But for other people it might be something else they will feel more comfortble with. My biggest issue, I guess, is learning to forgive them for not being "what" and "who I want them to be" in the situation we`re both in. For not answering in the sort of way that I perhaps will see as "logic" or maybe even polite. Try to look beyond what they do or don`t do, and focus on their heart! Seeing what`s in their heart towards me and/or the situation. And if their heart is "right", it will work out! I don`t want to continue to be stressed and afraid for ruining a relationship if things doesn`t happen in "my way", when "I want it to". God, forgive me!!
When you reach the top of a new hill you will get a new perspective of things. (but it`s never pleasant to do the walking up the hill).

Lasse liten

Referring to a Norwegian children-song, it`s also a name... A soul; a person. An "out of the box" guy, in more ways than one, especially in "Christian circles". ;p (if there ever should be such a term...). But how I admire him, who he is and what he is like. American (well, maybe not that part!;).). Tall. Writing poetry that, dispite difficulties with the interpretation-part (! haha), gives a sense of being nothing else than brilliant! True, heart-felt, and an personal expression. Just altogether things that have made me think: "What is actually "real" (reality)?". When I think about Lasse, I very much hope to see him again, but more than that, I hope he is doing good where he is now... "Yump and explode!" ;)
"Verden er så stor, så stor. Lasse, Lasse liten. Mye størr enn du tror. Lasse, Lasse liten." "Det er varmt, og det er kaldt. Lasse, Lasse liten. Men Gud råder over alt. Lasse, Lasse liten." "Langt det er fra øst til vest. Lasse, Lasse liten. Borte bra, men hjemme best. Lasse, Lasse liten."

Hello dear!
When I get reminded of, or think about friends or just people I`ve meet who I wish I had gotten to know so much better, I feel an urge of writing!! They are people who, somehow, inspire me to write about the "stuff" in life that makes life into what it is. That makes people become puzzles of mysteries you wish to explore simply because of the fragments of "genious-iality" that you see in them... I want to write about each of them, and dedicate what comes out. Though it might never leave my shelf, and never be read by anyone else or become in any way "famous". They will never leave the secret pieces and places of my heart, which has their name written om them...

Depth

I have a growing desire to go deeper!! I think it is something that has to come from the inside of you, to be real - from within you! I want to take to plunge - to dare to let go of all my "if`s" and wanting to be "safe" in every situation I might face!!! "Roots have to go deep before anything can break through!". Before ANYTHING can break through... Breakthrough!
I want to live in your Word. I used to be so fed-up with hearing about the positive sides of reading the Bible. So tired of feeling I had to, because it was "Christian" and "right". But the more I get to sense the real-nees, life and deep-ness in it. "There is NO substitute to knowing the Word of God!" (Reona Peterson Joly).

Christian guys NEEDED!!!!

Christian guys!! You are precious! Not just because of who you are, or your belief, but because simply, and in a un-sexual matter: WE NEED YOU!!! Its probably a common fact that one way for a guy to get a brownie-point in a girls heart is by playing with kids, and many times - indeed , we like what we see!! Also when a man can cook, clean floors, play the guitar... ... But I don`t want to sum up, or focus on "things guys can do to get a girlfriend". I want to go a bit beyond that!
I think us as girls actually need you, more than we sometimes are aware of, think of, or perhaps even know! We need you to be around, to be with us and to love us in a god-like way. We need you to be role-models, show us the male qualities of God in a pure and good and honest way! We need you to encourage us, protect us, and why not once in a while even pull out a chair for us!! ;) being a gentle-man can never hurt! Plus, it should be a good practice for married life!! ;P
As men, the "head of the family", you are the ones who ought to give protection, safety, and be our "hand to hold". I don`t mean this "in-love-ish-ly" because I believe there is something more to this, to grasp, that is "essential". Why not stop focusing on "whom in this room can I perhaps, maybe, somehow, somewhere, get together with?", and instead focus on how one can love this person in a godly way, without other motivations. Simply love us, and let us feel loved, become used to feeling loved and accepted by guys, without any of the sides having to question what lies behind it... Why not?

Hvorfor?
Trærne visner
Og fuglene flyr
Minnene kommer
Et nytt morgengry
Virker fjernt,
Hvorfor, hvorfor, Gud
Hva er det Du vil?
Hvorfor lot du meg gå gjennom så mye smerte?
Hvorfor Gud? Og hvordan var det verdt det?

This is a poem I wrote about a year ago. Its sort of negative towards God, partly taken from my own life, but the point I want to make is that honesty and real feelings is what I long to have and write about. Not half-way life, but a full one! I have also tried to translate it, but it doesn`t seem to work all too well! ;)

Something new
I`m back in Skien! We have started planning, I live in a room with 4 other girls (temporarily) and I have gotten a cold!!! Monday the 25th we will be going on a staff-trip to Sweden, partly by ferry. The rooms at the base are to few to fit us all. I`m trying to finish off some of my album or knitting -projects. Will hopefully be sharing room with a girl I don`t know (yet!)!! Miss my friends Hanne and Ragnhild!! Glad to be back in Skien. It was a big change to go from student to staff, but... its time for something new... ... ...

V-ordet

Ralph Waldo Emerson
